Are you searching for an exciting career that offers job satisfaction, flexibility, great pay and job security?
Look no further.
As a nurse, you'll enjoy flexible schedules, excellent salary and benefits and the satisfaction of really making a difference in peoples' lives everyday.
The demand for well-educated nurses is growing daily. In fact, according to U.S. Department of Labor statistics, by the year 2020, there will be an estimated shortage of 800,000 nurses. With the world's population living longer and needing more care, the health care field is one of the best places to get a job.
With a nursing degree you'll have the flexibility to shape your career as your needs change, taking opportunities that fit you best. You'll be in demand, making it easy to create a schedule that works for you -- full-time or part-time, weekdays, weekends or a combination of both.
Since our schools are located on hospital campuses, students have seamless access to clinical experiences. And, because our schools are affiliated with Northeast Health, the region's most comprehensive network of healthcare and community services, students will participate in clinical experiences in a variety of settings including hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, physician offices and daycare centers.
Both schools offer a Registered Nurse (RN) program to educate and prepare students to become skilled and competent professional nurses.
In addition to its RN Program, Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing also offers a Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate (LPN) program.
To enable LPNs to advance into an RN program without unnecessary gaps or duplication of LPN course material, Memorial Hospital School of Nursing is pleased to offer the Practical Nurse (PN) to Registered Nurse (RN) Transition Course.
Excellent Outcomes - We're proud that our students enjoy a near-perfect pass rate on the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX). Their scores have been consistently higher than the average pass rate in New York State.
